From the Course Dashboard, click your course name and then navigate to the assignment.
Click the assignment name and read all the instructions. For this example assignment, you will need to take a screenshot.
Depending on your device, follow the instructions below to take a screenshot.
MAC OPTIONS

Capture a portion of the screen: Hold down command, shift and the number 4 keys at the same time. To select the care of the screen to capture, click and hold your mouse or trackpad button while dragging the crosshair. Release the mouse or trackpad button to capture the image.
Finding your screenshots: By default, screenshots are saved to your desktop with the name “Screen Shot [date] at [time].” Instead of waiting for the screenshot to be saved to your desktop, you can drag the thumbnail that appears in the corner of your screen, then drop it in another location.

WINDOWS OPTIONS (sends the pictures to your Pictures library)

Capture a portion of the screen: Press and hold the Windows, Shift and S buttons at the same time to start the Snipping Tool. A screenshot filter appears over your screen with a cross where your cursor is. Click and drag the area that you want to screenshot.
CHROMEBOOK OPTIONS (saves the image in your Downloads folder)
Capture the entire screen: Press and hold the control (ctrl) and Show Screen button at the same time to take the screenshot. The Show Screen button is in the top row and looks like a square with two vertical lines to the right of the square. The image will appear in your Downloads folder.
Capture a portion of the screen: Press and hold the control (ctrl), shift, and Show Screen buttons at the same time. Click and drag to select the screen area you want to take a screenshot of, and then click Capture.
Best Practice: Rename the screenshot image file to something like, [Last Name] [Assignment name].
To rename an image, locate the file in which the image is saved. You may need to right-click the image in the folder and then click Rename, or you may need to use two fingers on a Chromebook and click the image to rename it. While this step is not necessary, you may find it easier to locate your image when uploading it to the assignment.
Under Submissions, click Submit Assignment. Using the Upload tab, you will select the image file from your device. If you have more than one file to upload, you must upload each file individually.
Click File. Locate the file on your computer and click Open. If desired, add a comment, which is optional.
When finished, click Submit.
