Your home page is the first page you reach when you log into Schoology.

Recent Activity

Recent Activity displays all comments and updates about your courses and group.

To filter your feed so it only displays Updates, Polls, or Blog Posts, click Most Recent and select a filtering option.

Course Dashboard

The Course Dashboard displays all your courses as a tiled list. You can drag and drop the tiles to rearrange the order of your courses on the dashboard. This order will also be reflected in the Courses drop-down menu.

NOTE: Only the first 12 tiles are displayed in the Courses drop-down menu. From the Course Dashboard, you can click a course card to go to the course's main landing page.

To Do

The To Do section of your home page displays events, assignments, tests/quizzes, and discussions with an associated due date.

Move the pointer over each item to display the course or group associated with the item, or move the pointer over the clock or exclamation point icons to display when the material is due. If you have at least three overdue items, an option will display to allow you to access the additional overdue work.

The Recently Completed section displays materials that you submitted and need to be graded. Move the pointer over the icons associated with each material to display the grading status or the grade for that assignment.

NOTES

  • More than three items that have the same due date will be displayed in the To Do list.

  • Assessments, quizzes, and tests display in the To Do list only when submissions are enabled.

  • Grade columns will only display in Recently Completed after they are graded.

Use the Calendar link in the Upcoming section to navigate to your Calendar.

Grades and Attendance

Select Grades (1), and then select Grade Report (2).

Grade Report

The Grade Report displays a breakdown of your grades for each course. Choose a course to display each graded item, your grade, the maximum points, and any comments from your teacher.

Optionally, select Download Student Report to download a copy of the grade report.

Select the grading periods you would like to appear in the report, and then click Next.

Click Select All or individually select the courses you would like to view, and then click Submit.

The grades will appear on the next page. Right-click on the page to select options such as Save as... or Print.... Click your web browser's Back button to return to the previous page.

Attendance

eAcademy does not use this feature since each school district has its own method of calculating attendance.

Search

Use the Search tool (magnifying glass icon) to search for your teachers, courses, and groups.

Calendar

The Schoology Calendar is an organizational element for your connections, courses, and groups. It keeps events and due dates organized and accessible.

Click the Calendar icon to access events and due dates by month, week, or day. Each item is color-coded depending on courses, groups, and personal events. Due dates for assignments, assessments, and important course-related events are automatically added to your calendar and manager by your teacher.

Messages

You are able to receive and send messages to your teachers. To learn how to send and reply to messages, review Module 3: Communication.

Notifications

Notifications display course events, in chronological order, and requests to join a group. A number on the bell icon indicates new notifications or requests. Click a notification or request to view the related content.

Site Footer

The site footer of every page includes the following:

  • eAcademy Help Desk - Use this to communicate with the eAcademy Help Desk when you have a technical issue.
