There are times when you may need to grant an assignment extension for one or more of your students.

Navigate to your Moodle course.

From the course home page when in Editing mode, click the Assignment name.

Under the Grading summary, click View all submissions.

For a single student:

  1. Check the box next to the student’s name.

  2. Click the drop-down arrow next to Edit.

  3. Select Grant extension.

Select the new date and time for the Extension due date and then click Save changes.

For multiple students:

  1. Check the box next to the specific students’ names. If you want to extend the assignment for all students, check the box at the top of the Select column to select all students.

  2. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the drop-down arrow next to With selected….

  3. Select Grant extension.

  4. Click Go.
