Access your course in Moodle and click the forum name. Here’s an example.
Read the instructions, listen to any voice recordings, and watch any videos that the teacher may have added. When you’re ready to answer the question(s), click Add a new discussion topic.
In the Subject field, write a brief description of your response. In the Message area, write your response to the forum question. You can click the Toggle Toolbar button to expand the editing toolbar.
Click Advanced to the right of Cancel to see additional options, which allow you to edit your text, include a photo or recording, and attach a file.
Once you are done writing your response (and attaching any files), click Post to forum.
After posting your response, you’ll see a message indicating you have 30 minutes to make any changes.
If you need to edit your post, click the link to your forum post under Discussion.
Click Edit. You can also Delete your post or Reply to your own post.
A Permalink allows you to link directly to a specific forum post so you can easily share it with others. If you click the permalink, it will be highlighted to the side, and you will see a specific web address, which you can then copy and paste to use elsewhere.
After making any edits to your post, click Save changes.
Click the forum name again to view all posts.
Under Discussion are the links to each forum post. You will be able to see who started the post, the name of the person who last posted along with the date stamp, and the number of replies.
Before 30 minutes has elapsed, you can still make changes to your own post by clicking your post link under Discussion.
To reply to any other forum posts, click the link to the forum post under Discussion to view the post.
Click Reply at the bottom right.
Type your response and then click Post to forum.
