Summary
Before Multi-Menu Management, WM Listings and their menus were tied together and didn’t allow the flexibility most operators needed.
Having listings and menus tied together was problematic for a few reasons:
Didn’t allow multiple menus to display different pricing.
Couldn’t configure or curate a new live menu before publication.
Restricted the functionality to self-serve menu overrides.
Hindered the ability to maintain and share menus across multiple listings easily.
Our new Multi-Menu Management system is our response to the most significant barrier to live-menu enablement. With this system, you’re able to:
Create and edit menus at the organization level
Move between POS integrations seamlessly without losing existing menu layout/functionality
Have menus with different inventory that can all be managed
Change what menu is showing on the listing at any time
Assign the menu to many listings (self-service)
Change pricing to reflect weekend deals
Enable temporary/conditional menus such as, but not limited to:
Late-night menus
Happy hour menus
Specialized / holiday menus
Dual license menus
In addition, you can configure a new live-menu integration and menu in a staging environment so you don’t lose business during the cutover.
How do I get started?
Displayed in the sidebar, Menus is now a top-level navigation item controlled at the organization level. Integrations with POS inventory are also configured here.
The Menus page is where you can view and manage all of your menus that belong to your organization.
Create a new menu
To start, click + menu at the top-right of the Menus page.
You can choose how you want to manage your listing by either (1) selecting your own existing POS integration or (2) manually managing your Menu with WM Business.
To manage a menu with your own POS integration:
Click Point of Sale integration.
Give your menu its unique name.
Select your POS integration.
Click Save.
Note: Depending on your POS integration, you may have to fill in additional fields such as integrations login credentials, API Key, and Client ID.
After your menu(s) are created, they’ll automatically crawl (or sync) your products. You may now attach the menu to single or multiple listings.
Assigning the menu to one or more listings
After creating one or more menus, you can assign the menu(s) to multiple listings in your organization.
Note: The Listings’ business details, such as hours of operation, are not controlled by the Multi-Menu Management system. Only the menu itself will be copied across your multiple listings.
In the sidebar, navigate to the Listings dropdown, click Dispensaries, and select the dispensaries listing the new menu will be attached to:
Click Edit.
Scroll down and locate the menu.
Search and select the newly created menu.
Click Save at the bottom of the page.
Being able to manage multiple menus within your organization is vital. Our new management system will align with industry standards and will become the foundation for all menu management innovations.
