Overview
A Brand Verified Product indicates you're authorized by that Brand to carry their products on Weedmaps. These products, listed by official manufacturers or distributors, go through a verification process. Products are automatically submitted for verification upon saving. Once verified, they receive a blue checkmark and display the Brand’s official details.
In order to brand verify a product, the Brand needs to be published on Weedmaps and the product needs to be published in the Brand's catalog.
Please note: If your Weedmaps menu is integrated with your point-of-sale system, create all new menu items directly in your point-of-sale system, as you cannot create new menu products on Weedmaps. Once created in your point-of-sale system, follow the steps in this help article to Brand Verify your products.
Here are step-by-step instructions on how to create a brand verified product:
Log in to your Weedmaps Admin account
Navigate to the LISTINGS tab to locate your listing and select EDIT
Select the MENU tab at the top of the page
Select the + Menu Item button at the top-right corner of the page
Select Branded Product
In the Brand and Product field, search for the correct brand and product
Set the product Price by weight or Price by unit
In the Availability section, you can enable multiple settings that determine the availability of this product
Publish Product: This allows you to choose whether customers can see this item on your menu
Enable Online Ordering: If you have WM Orders enabled, this allows you to choose whether customers can add this item to their cart. Toggle the product on and off from being available for order requests.
Recreational: Click if the product is available for recreational customers
Medical: Select if the product is available for medical patients only
Input the THC and CBD percentage or milligrams in the Cannabinoids section. Enabling the Auto-tagging setting will allow Weedmaps to automatically put a THC or CBD percentage based on the product name or description
Once you have created your product, select the Save button at the bottom right corner of the page
Once saved and verified by the Brand, the product will show (Approved) under the Brand column in WM Admin
