How to convert an in-store deal to an online deal

If you’re WM Orders enabled, you may want to convert an in-store deal to an online deal to achieve the following:
​

  • Ease redemption pathway for users to boost sales

  • Automatically apply discount at checkout to communicate savings to the user

  • Increase exposure for a deal due to increased visibility of the promotion code

Converting an in-store deal to online

Let's walk through the steps below to convert an existing in-store deal to an online deal.

  1. Log in to access your WM Admin account.

  2. Click your avatar, then click Manage my business from the dropdown.
    ​

  3. From WM Admin, click the Listings menu item on the left navigation menu.
    ​

  4. Click Dispensaries or Deliveries.
    ​

  5. Locate the listing that has the existing in-store deal.
    ​

  6. Click Edit.
    ​

7. Click the Deals tab from your business listing page.

NOTE: If the Deals tab isn't visible, reach out to your Weedmaps Account team to enable deals for your listing.

8. From your Deals page, locate the in-store deal you’d like to edit.

9. Click the three vertical dots next to the in-store deal and select Edit.
​

10. From the Edit Deal page, select Online deal under Discount Details.
​

11. Use the Discount Name dropdown to find your newly-created discount code or select another existing one to attach to your deal.

Saving your changes

Once you save your changes, your online deal is live!


1. Add a Title. We recommend including a number that shows a $ or % off, unit and product name.

EXAMPLE: "Buy one concentrate, get 20% off order".

2. To show details of your online deal, copy and paste the description from your promo code to the description field on your online deal, such as the terms & conditions or a call-to-action.
