Minimum requirement not reached
There could be a few different reasons why a promo code isn't working. In this case, an error appeared when the promo code discount caused the subtotal to drop below the retailer's minimum requirement for a delivery. It can be confusing because taxes may cause your order total to exceed the minimum requirement.
The minimum requirement has to be met before taxes and after any promo code discounts are applied.
Here's an example:
The minimum requirement for a delivery order is $30
Your current subtotal is at $30
You have $10 in taxes
You get a $5 discount that brings down your subtotal to $25
Your order total is $35 ($25 subtotal + $10 in taxes)
In this example, even though your order total is $35 – which is over the minimum requirement – your order subtotal is only $25 after the $5 discount has been applied.
So in this example, after applying the discount, you'd need to add another $5 worth of products to bring the subtotal back up to at least $30.
