Our generative AI is here to spark your creativity, simplify your tasks, and open up new horizons for video creation. In this article, we'll guide you through five easy steps to make the most of this revolutionary tool.

Step 1: Access the AI Wizard.

To get started, simply log in to your account. Start creating a Wochit video like you normally would, clicking "Make a Wochit" at the top right side of the menu.

Step 2: Enter a prompt

This window will pop up:

Select your production line and aspect ratio as usual. In order to activate the AI Wizard, you should enter a prompt in the main text field. The prompt can include instructions for your video, URLs of articles and even articles' full text (see some great examples below).

Once you enter a prompt, the blue "Create" button will turn pink and a Magic Wand will show at the button.

Note: The Wizard cannot generate news videos from a simple prompt. In order to create a news video, type in the news URL or the news article text in the prompt.

Next, select your video language. Your prompt or article may be in one language whereas our AI Wizard can create the video in another language.

Now select how you want our AI Wizard to deal with visuals. You may choose one of either:

  • Editorial & Creative - Our AI Wizard will try to find the best videos and images from our Editorial and Creative catalogs to match every scene in your story. If the Wizard cannot find an appropriate match, it will leave a placeholder.

  • Creative only - Our AI Wizard will try to find the best videos and images from our Creative catalogs only to match every scene in your story. Note that this more suitable for evergreen videos and may produce poor results on editorial and news videos. It is also perfect for commercial use videos, making sure no editorial content is used.

  • No Media (Use Placeholders) - Our AI wizard will not attempt to match visuals, but instead, create placeholders for you to pick visual elements yourself

Last, select whether you’d like the video to include a voice-over. If you choose to add one, an AI-generated voice-over will be created. Simply pick the voice that best fits your needs - we offer a variety of options across different languages, accents, and tones. Not sure which voice to choose? Read more here.

Step 3: Generate a draft video

Hit “Create”! A message will appear:

The Wizard is doing its magic. You can either close this window or create another video using the same steps.

The AI wizard will create the story-line, determine the number of scenes and their lengths, the text overlays on top of each scene, whether this is a title, multi-line, listicle, quote or maybe no text at all. The AI Wizard will also match an appropriate background music track for your video.

Step 4: Your video draft is ready!

While the AI Wizard is doing its magic, a locked draft will appear in your “Drafts” folder. It takes about a minute and once completed, you will receive a notification that your draft is ready:

Step 5: Review and Refine

After you've received the AI's generated video, take some time to review it. Make edits, add your personal touch, and fine-tune the output to align perfectly with your vision. Remember, as much as the Wizard is intelligent, it may have faults or mistakes. Be patient with it 🙂 and please share any feedback with us.

🙋🏽‍♂️🙋‍♀️ Prompt guidelines

  • Recent events

    • Our AI model is trained on data as of Oct 2023, therefore when covering a story that occurred after that date you may encounter what is known as AI hallucination. To cover recent events either use the full text of an article or a URL to a news story

  • To describe a segment of the video, use the word scene. Avoid using alternative words like ‘slide’ or ‘media’. For example

    • Create a 5 scene video about….

    • The first scene should be a Title scene

    • Note that there is a limit of up to 20 scenes in a single video

  • Referencing URLs - You may use multiple URLs in the prompt, for example:

  • Our AI is familiar with these types of scene overlays:

    • Title

    • Multiline

    • Listicle

    • Quote

    • Cleanshot - A “transition” scene that has only a visual and no text

    • Soundbite

    • You may ask it to use, or not to use, any of these. For example:

      • “Use at least one quote from Albert Einstein”

      • “Use only multilines”

      • “Do not use any cleanshots”

      • “Do not use soundbites”

  • Keeping your script intact

    • You may ask to use an exact script and not alter any word, for example:

      • “Make a video using this exact script, use title for first scene and only multilines for the rest of the scenes: {text}”

    • You may ask not to have any text in your video, for example:

      • Don’t use any text on the scenes

      • Don’t use text on the second scene

      • The video should only include footage and no text

    • When referring to an article URL you may ask:

      • "Create a video about this article:

The title of the video should be the exact title of the article.

For multilines, use exact phrases from the article."

  • Controlling the length of your video

    • You cannot ask for an exact length, however, you can ask for a specific number of scenes, for example, “Create a 5 scene video about…

  • Visual selection directions

    • By default all visuals are selected automatically by the AI engine. However, you can have an influence on the the visuals that will be selected. For example, you may add:

      • “...use footage of Times Square and add soundbites from the mayor”

      • Scene 2 should show a video of John Doe

      • "Use only photos from Chelsea vs Southampton Feb 25, 2025"

      • "Create a 5 scenes video about the best places to visit in England, the entire video must feature only aerial videos, the first scene must show an image of a duck swimming in a lake in England (not aerial)"

  • Tone of voice

    • You may impact the tone of the story, for example:

      • “...make it more funny, newsy, serious, informal, entertaining”

  • Structure

    • You may dictate the exact structure of the storyline by providing an explicit script. For example:

      • Create a video about…..

Scene #1 - Title - “Some title here”

Scene #2 - Multiline - “some text here”...
