An Air Bike is a cross between an exercise bike and an elliptical. It works both the upper and lower body simultaneously. The harder you push the more air resistance is created and the more difficult the work becomes.
Regardless of the kind of Air Bike you're using (Assault Fitness, Rogue Echo Bike or other) treat prescribed cals, watts and time domains the same for each. Use the Aerobic Companion Chart to find appropriate substitutions if necessary.
ie.
Assault Bike • 10 cal | Rogue Echo • 10 cals | Airdyne • 10 cals |
Assault Bike • 20 cal | Rogue Echo • 20 cals | Airdyne • 20 cals |
Assault Bike • 30 sec | Rogue Echo • 30 cals | Airdyne • 30 cals |

NOTE: A Concept Bike ERG or exercise bike is NOT an Air Bike and does not convert 1:1 to Air Bike work.
Refer to the Aerobic Companion Chart for an appropriate conversion for the Bike ERG.
