Wonda Basics Tech Requirements
As a rule of thumb, Wonda runs on any computer powerful enough to handle video calls (zoom, etc.) and screen sharing without performance problems.
This said, we recommend a technical check is conducted prior to any launch of Programs & Simulations and that the requirements below are fully covered to avoid any known performance and security issues.
Minimal Desktop/Laptop requirements recommended for AI-Conversational Experience:
Screen size ≥ 13 inches
8GB RAM (DDR4)
8Mb/s internet connection (test it on www.fast.com)
Google Chrome Browser (latest available version) - make sure you don’t have too many tabs open.
Ideally if any installed on your browser, please disable any privacy/anti-popup/script blocker settings.
Windows:
OS: Windows 10
CPU: Intel Core I3
GPU: NVIDIA GTX 1050 or equivalent
Optional : A built-in microphone and speaker OR a headset for speech interactions
Mac:
OS: MacOS 11
CPU/GPU: Apple M1
Optional : A built-in microphone and speaker OR a headset for speech interactions
Note: Wonda may run on other browsers but Chrome is actively maintained by the Wonda team.
Types of interactions
There are 2 possible ways to interact with the Wonda AIC:
“Speech to Speech” (learners “speak” to AIC, and AIC “speaks” back) using the Spacebar as a Push-to-talk button, or holding your click on the HOLD TO TALK button.
“Text to Speech” (learners “write” to AIC and AIC “speaks” back)
In any case, all messages are transcribed in the Chat Window.
We recommend using “Speech to Speech” for best immersion. It is recommended to use an audio headset with a built-in microphone that does ambient noise reduction.
Alternatively, the learners can do “Text to Speech” to the AI Characters to ensure there will be no microphone and permission issues on their computers or possible speech recognition issues (related to bad microphone quality, environment noise).
