To get the most out of your simulations, we recommend you take the following steps to develop and refine your training.

  1. Understand the tool with playtesting:
We have demo programs that can be tested, and we recommend playing around with a few to spark inspiration for how to approach your use case.

  2. Define pedagogical outcomes:
It’s important to have a clear plan. Understanding what exact competencies learners should develop after completing your training will go a long way to keeping you on track while you develop your content.

  3. Create and test simulation prototypes:
Given the novelty of generative AI-powered simulations, we suggest testing the AI Character prompts with varied responses to ensure that the conversations flow as you would expect, even under diverse circumstances; more on this topic can be found here.

  4. Create and test feedback reports:
Once the prompt is finalized, a feedback report will be provided to learners after they complete the simulation. Document the criteria and generate some test feedback reports within the editor to obtain sample conversations to validate the feedback provided. From there, tweak feedback provided in the reports by editing the settings. More detailed instructions on how to do this can be found here.

  5. Test with users:
Once you have your initial program built, we recommend you run an initial round of testing with a small group of learners and leverage feedback to make edits to the simulations.

This process should get you into a good place to roll out your training with your intended learners and achieve compelling results.
