Polls are used to gather information or opinions efficiently and systematically, providing valuable insights that can inform decision-making, improve products and services, engage an audience, and more.
Create a Poll question
First, open the event of your choice where you would like to add a Poll question type. You can also start from scratch by creating a brand-new event.
Click on New Question and find Poll under Gather Feedback.
Looking for inspiration? Head over to the template page and download one of the existing templates for the Poll question type!
You can also import an already created Poll question from our Examples gallery. Head on to Examples gallery and choose Poll under Question type. You can then add the question of your choice to your event.
You can even create a Poll question using Wooclap AI.
Customize the Poll question
Once you have opened your Poll question type, you can personalise it and tailor it to your needs. Start by adding the question (1) you want to ask.
Next, enter the several answers your audience can vote for. (2) By clicking on New choice, you can add more answers to the question (3).
Three options are available in the right-hand side menu: Multiple answers, Allow comments and Timer. You can also add an image or a sound to the question and answers.
When you are done preparing your question, you can either click on Save or Display now at the bottom of the screen to start your Wooclap event.
Display the Poll
Once you have clicked on Display Now or Display, the question you have prepared will appear on your screen. You can then invite your participants to join your event and answer.
Once your participants have given their answers, you have three options on the left side of the screen to visualize the answers:
Results: lets you show the incoming answers and how many answers each proposition has received.
Donut chart: lets you display the received answers as proportional slices. Each slice represents one option, and the size of each slice is dictated by the percentage of answers received for that option.
☝️ To keep the Donut chart clear and readable, options that receive 4 or more responses but make up less than 5% of the total answers are automatically combined into an Others category.
