What can you do with Bulk Actions?

Bulk Actions offer many different options to make updates or changes to many staff members at one time.

You can access Bulk Actions from the Staff screen when you select one or more staff members.

Or from the results of running a report when you select one or more staff members.

When you open the Bulk Actions dropdown, you will see the options you can take for these selected staff members.

Let's go through each one.

Activate Staff

If you have staff that has been deactivated, you can use this option to reactivate them.

We recommend you use your filter options found in the top bar of your report or the side bar of the staff section to find and select these staff members.

You will also have the option to email a message to the selected staff once reactivated.

Note: Activating a staff member is not the same as rehiring. To learn more about rehiring, check out this article. Using the Rehire Wizard.

Deactivate Staff

This option will allow you to deactivate all selected staff. You will also have a section for an optional note. This note will not be issued or visible to your staff member.

Update Employment Dates

In this option, you will be able to update one or all of the following dates: Hire Date, Start Date, End Date.

You will also update the notification time frame for the staff selected at this time.

NOTE: Deactivated staff members will not receive ANY communication until they are reactivated. At that time, your selected option will go into effect.

Update Custom Fields

Here you will be able to update the custom field for the selected staff. You will need to have a custom field created for it to populate on this list.

From whatever field you select, you will be prompted to update whatever that field type is. So, what and how you update this section will be contingent on the field you select. The example below shows updating the EAD Expiration Date.

Download Form Submissions

With this option, you can select one or more forms from the dropdown to select for download. You will need to input your options for download.

Your download will be delivered to you in your “Downloads” page found in the dropdown under your name in the far right corner of the navigation bar.

Request New Submissions

This option will allow you to request a new submission from selected staff. The staff member(s) must already have this form assigned to them to receive a request for a new submission.

On the next window, you will be able to add an optional message to send out with your new request.

Add Staff to Group

With this option, you will be able to add your selected staff to a group from the dropdown menu. The group must already exist to be selectable from the dropdown. For more information on Groups, watch this video.

Note: If a staff member is already in the group, nothing will be changed.

Remove Staff from Group

With this option, you will be able to remove your selected staff from a group from the dropdown menu. The group must already exist to be selectable from the dropdown. For more information on Groups, watch this video.

Note: If a staff member was not in the group, nothing will be changed.
