Form Body Types: Choosing the Right Option

The Form Body is where you will put content or information you want your staff to review or engage with.

WorkBright offers three form body types: PDF, Text Editor, and None. Choose the one that fits your needs best.

Attach an external PDF for staff to review, acknowledge, or sign. This is ideal for compliance forms or documents that must keep a specific format or require signatures. (If your PDF needs to be filled out by your employees, please submit a ticket to our forms team for processing.)

Text Editor for custom forms that display dynamic information but do not collect input.

Build a custom form directly in WorkBright using the editor. It is perfect for displaying information with dynamic fields such as employee names or salaries. Note that this type does not capture new information from staff.

Text Editor Forms are WorkBright forms that are built using our WYSIWYG text editor. These custom-built forms give you the added control of being able to build out a form directly in WorkBright, as opposed to having to upload it as a PDF.

This gives you the benefit of using merge fields, which dynamically map information somewhere else on the account to the form. This comes in handy when you have to fill out a form like an Offer Letter, where you want to include information like an Employee’s salary, etc.

Note: Text Editor forms DO NOT allow you to capture information from the staff member on a submission. You can add form fields to any form, but only uploaded PDFs will populate the entries of those form fields in the actual submission.
