Why Perform a Morning Rinse Cycle?

Starting your day with a Morning Rinse Cycle is a simple yet crucial step in maintaining the performance and longevity of your Übermilk ONE ON TOP. This daily procedure helps to minimise the risk of milk solid buildup inside the element, ensuring consistent foam quality and preventing potential issues down the line. Think of it as "waking up" your Übermilk and preparing it for a day of service.

What Does the Rinse Cycle Do?

Overnight, any stubborn milk residue that may have been trapped inside the element can loosen and break free after soaking in water. The purpose of the Rinse Cycle is to flush out this residue before you begin using the Übermilk for the day.

How to Perform the Morning Rinse Cycle:

  1. Run several rinse cycles: We strongly recommend running multiple rinse cycles every morning.

  2. Observe the dispensed water: Carefully observe the water being dispensed into a clear container.

  3. Continue rinsing until clear: Continue running rinse cycles until the water dispensed is completely clear of any milk residue before proceeding to the Flow Test.

What to Look For in the Dispensed Water:

The appearance of the dispensed water will provide valuable insights into the cleanliness of your element.

"Normal" Milk Residue:

Description: You may notice small, light-coloured particles in the water. This is normal and expected.

Action: Continue running rinse cycles until the water is completely clear.

Darker Milk Solid Residue (Baked-On Solids):

Description: If you see darker, brownish particles in the water, this indicates the presence of baked-on milk solids inside the element.

Action: Follow these steps:

  1. Continue rinsing repeatedly: Continue to rinse repeatedly until the water dispensed is completely clear.

  2. Proceed to the Flow Test: Once the water is clear, proceed to the Flow Test step and carefully record the results.

  3. Check the Variance (%) figure:

    • If the Variance (%) is below 3.0%: You may proceed to milk intake and daily use.

    • If the Variance (%) is above 3.0%:

      • Run the End-of-Day Cleaning Cycle again.

      • Repeat steps 1 and 2 above.

      • If the Variance (%) is still above 3.0%, run the Intensive Cleaning Procedure immediately.
