Dashboard Widgets- How to update/change access

Depending on the role a user has within your company, you may want to restrict or grant them access to specific dashboard widgets. The Administrator of the system can easily modify these permissions.

  • Click on 'Configuration' in the top menu bar

  • Then click 'Configuration Dashboard' from the drop down list

  • Navigate to the Permissions widget and expand it

  • Expand the list of available widgets by clicking on the arrow next to Widgets

  • Click on the desired widget from the list of available widgets on the left

  • The current access status will then appear to the right

  • If you wish to restrict access, click the drop down arrow and change the status to 'Yes'

  • You can then determine the level of access by Role, Group, or User by clicking on the '...'

  • A chooser will then appear and you can make the appropriate selections and click 'OK'

  • Once the access is updated and the desired Roles, Groups, or Users are added, click 'Save' in the upper right-hand corner

  • The added users will then see the additional Widget available when they click 'Add Widget' on their dashboard
