The Customer field in the Workgroups DaVinci Job and Project Ticket allows your organization to identify the Internal (Departments, Functions, etc.) and External Customers of your team.
This can be very useful in understanding the amount and type of work that your team does for your various customers. Beyond reporting, this feature can also be useful throughout your work process.
To do this, you must add customers into Workgroups DaVinci. Let's find out how:
Begin by opening up your dashboard and adding the Companies widget by clicking the Add Widget button in the top right of the window.
Then click the New Company button to create your customer.
Complete all relevant customer contact information in each field of the form
You are not required to fill all fields, but must complete the Customer Code and Name fields at the minimum.
note: Make sure to check the Customer checkbox in the Relationships section
Next, you may add the Contact People and the Roles they serve for that Customer.
Click the ellipsis (...) button to select from your user/contact list
or you can click the New Person button to add a new customer contact.
note: you will not be able to create this contact as a Workgroups User unless you are logged in with the Administrator user account.
Once you have added all relevant information, click the save button at the top of the page.
Now, you can add this company/department to your job and project forms in the Customer field.
