Assigning Roles and Resources

Once a job is created, very often the next step is assigning roles. By default permissions in the system, if you are an Administrator or in the Traffic role, you can assign or reassign roles on both the Job Schedule and Job Ticket.

To assign multiple roles at once on the Job Schedule

  • Click “Edit” in the top right corner

  • Next to “Role Assignments” click “Details”

  • Click “click to assign”

  • Select the assignments from the chooser

  • Click “OK”

  • Once you have all the roles assigned as needed Click “OK”

  • Click “Save” in the top right corner to save the changes to the Job

You can also reassign roles by following similar steps.

  • Click “Details” next to role assignments

  • On the assignment you wish to edit, click “x” next to the assignment to remove it

  • Follow the steps outlined above to reassign (Click “Click to Assign”, select the assignments from the chooser, click “OK”)

  • Click “OK”

  • Click “Save” in the top right corner

On the Job Schedule you can also directly assign resources on individual activities in the workflow.

  • Click “Edit” in the top right corner

  • Click on the assignment on the activity in the schedule or click on “Details” in the activity information below the schedule (either one will will open the assignments window for the activity)

  • Under “Direct Assignments” click “click to assign”

  • Select the assignment(s) for the activity from the chooser

  • Click “OK”

  • Click “OK”

  • Click “Save” on the top right corner to save changes to the job schedule

You can also reassign roles on the Job Ticket.

  • In the Roles section click “Reassign...”

  • Edit the role assignments as needed then click “x” in the top right corner to save changes and exit the window

*If you would like give permission to edit role assignment to additional roles or individuals (besides just the Traffic and Administrator roles), it is possible to do so in the permissions widget. View this article to see how.
