Within the proofing tool there of two ways to review activity of proof files, 'Proof Audit' and 'Proof History.' Proof History shows the history of reviewers and the decisions that they have made for a particular file or group of files. Proof Audit is a more in-depth and complete history of a proof. The Proof Audit includes the decisions of each reviewer, reminder e-mails that have been sent to them, and even date/time for the initial creation of the proof. Reviewing both the Proof Audit and Proof History can be helpful in determining what actions have occurred on a proof and why it's in the state that it's currently in.

To navigate to the Proof Audit, you must first open the proof that you are interested in.

  • Click on the desired proof from your list of available proofs

You will then see the Proof Audit button in the upper lefthand corner of the page.

Clicking on this button will open a new window with the full Proof Audit

The audit will contain the date/time, type of action (Mail, Comment, etc.), Title, user it was initiated by if applicable, and the user it was sent to. You can also view Reminder e-mails sent to users.

The Proof History can be accessed in a similar way.

On the Proof Details screen, navigate to the Workflow Information section, and History can be found in the first column.

  • Click 'History' and you will be directed to a new page containing the proof version and history.

You can also navigate to the Proof History within the proof.

  • Click on the three horizontal lines in the upper righthand corner of the proof

  • Then click 'Audit Trail' from the dropdown list

A pop-up window will open within Approval Manager containing the File History, which is seen below.

Both views allow for greater visibility of the actions that have been taken on the proof and why it might be in the state that it is currently.
