Agile Projects

By far the more flexible approach, managing an agile project in Workgroups DaVinci couldn't be easier. You don't really have to do anything beyond defining your project types. Once those are set, simply pick one and start managing your project. You can add tasks on the fly on the project, or choose to leverage a predefined task group to speed up the task creation process. From there, you're off to the races!

Waterfall Projects

Sometimes you have a defined workflow you need to follow. For example, to create a flyer, you might follow these steps in sequence:

  1. Copy

  2. Design

  3. Internal Review

  4. Client Review

Leveraging task dependencies can help you keep this project and its tasks in line. When defining a task group, ensure that you have these steps in the proper order:

For 'Workflow type', you can choose to restrict this task group to Agile, Waterfall, or Choose later. Selecting 'Choose later' is probably a good place to begin, since it allows you to leverage this task group for either Agile or Waterfall projects (based on your selection here at the time of project creation):

Depending on your selection of Waterfall or Agile, you will see the appropriate changes in the Task List and Task Board views to help you manage your project the way you want!
