You've been invited to join your organization's WorkReels account.
Great! But what does that mean?
That means that you'll get to be a part of sharing your company's message.
First, you'll need to create your account and get signed up. You'll either receive an invite from your director (either via email or text message) or you'll be asked to sign up independently (just be sure to use your work email address).
You'll be asked to enter some personal information to create your account. Then you'll need to verify your email!
Once you've done that, you're in!! We highly recommend that all talent download the WorkReels app as that's the easiest way to record and upload videos. The WorkReels app is available in the App Store and on the Google Play store.
When you log in for the first time, you'll land on the home page. Here you'll find some helpful information, like recommended scenes and recently recorded videos.
Now it's time for the fun part! You get to record scenes in your company's storyline! To navigate to your storyline, simply visit the storylines tab (you'll find this tab at the bottom of your screen on the app.)
Here you'll see any open storylines that you're assigned. To view a storyline in more detail you can click on the storyline to see the scenes that make up the storyline.
Find a scene that speaks to you!
WorkReels acts more like an open casting call rather than an assignment that you have to complete. That's why we don't assign scenes, anyone is welcome to record any scene.
Once you click on that scene you'll see the scene name, you'll get an in-depth description, and a chance to see some pointers before you film.
(If you feel like you need to check out some additional pointers before getting started check out our filming guides here.)
When you're ready click the purple button at the bottom of the screen. Film a video like you would normally. When you're happy with what you've recorded, hit the check mark! Next, you'll be taken to a screen where you can edit the scene name. When you're done with this, simply click "done."
Your video will be uploaded for your director to review (approve, pass or comment). You can always comment back and forth with your director if you have any questions or concerns.
