The myEtimecard mobile app will be delisted in a few months.
Its replacement is more or less identical from a user interaction perspective. The key difference is that employees are able to clock-in/out even without a cell signal, unlike myEtimecard which requires connectivity. Offline punches are stored locally on the device and sync opportunistically as service improves.
This will be a two part process as we need to migrate all employees to the new app and also upgrade your account's database.
App Migration:
You have two different paths to select from for your migration:
1. Recommended strategy: We can immediately convert your entire company over to the Worksana mobile app. When employees attempt to open their myEtimecard app, they will be unable to use it and be directed to download Worksana.
The benefit to this is they will be able to log in using the phone number workflow. Without this forced transition, employees will have to use a username/password to log in for the first time.
2. A piecewise roll-out. If you would prefer to make the transition a bit more slowly, you can transition employees on an individual basis when convenient. Please note that this process must be complete prior to May 2025.
Additionally, employees will need to use their username/password to log in, so you will need to ensure that they know what those are.
Database Migration:
After migrating your employees to the new app, we will need to move your account over to an upgraded database designed to work more optimally with the new Worksana app.
We have tested this migration process thoroughly, and it shouldn't cause any disruptions whatsoever, but we still prefer to perform this while the fewest people are actively on the clock to be on the safe side. Please let us know what day/time works best for you, and we will schedule the upgrade for that time.
