Workstream makes it easy to organize schedules by creating roles and shifts that match your team’s needs.
You can add roles, assign them to specific team members, and save changes directly within your scheduling settings.
Follow these steps to set up roles and create shifts:
Access Time and Scheduling settings
Go to Team View, then select Time and Scheduling.
You can also sign in directly to the Worker Hub.
Go to ⚙️ Settings.
Select Shift Scheduling.
If you manage multiple locations, use the location dropdown menu to select the one you want to manage.
Create and add roles
Create a shift
Choose a date: Select an empty shift date from the calendar next to the role you want to schedule. This opens the Create Shift window.
Assign to: Select the team member(s) you want to add to this shift. You can assign multiple team members to the same role.
Handle multiple pay types (if applicable): If a team member has multiple pay types (e.g., a different rate for a shift lead position), you can assign a second job at a different pay rate. The system will warn you if a team member already has multiple roles or jobs assigned. This feature is useful if you want to incentivize team members for taking on higher responsibilities.
If someone isn't available at that time, you’ll get a warning so you don’t accidentally schedule them.
Apply to: If the shift repeats, you can apply it to multiple days instead of creating it one by one.
Select Save to apply the changes.
Select Publish. This will notify the team members assigned to this shift.
