If you believe your assignment was incorrectly graded, you may appeal the grade that you received.

We ask that you are as specific as possible and include any supporting evidence to direct the instructor to the portion of your initial answer that you believe was either overlooked or misunderstood.

The instructor will review the section(s) presented in the appeal and determine if the grade should be updated. Submitting an appeal does not ensure your grade will be changed as a result of instructor review.

The deadline to submit an appeal is the last day of the course session.

Collaborative Review Task

  • How to submit: Email directly to the designated instructor.

  • Where to find the instructor’s email: Check your course introduction page (by clicking the course name at the top of the left-hand navigation menu). The designated instructor for CRT grade appeals will be listed.

*Do not submit the CRT grade appeal form to Student Support. Doing so will delay your appeal as you’ll need to resubmit directly to the instructor.

Group Work Project

  • How to submit: Attach the form and supporting evidence in a message to Student Support via the in-platform chatbot.

*Do not submit the GWP grade appeal directly to an instructor. Doing so will delay your appeal as you’ll need to resubmit to the chatbot.

Important warning on the use of AI: All group members take full responsibility for work that includes plagiarism or excessive use of AI. If you are appealing a grade because you were unaware that a group member used AI prior to the submission deadline you must provide proof of this claim for further investigation. Examples of evidence include Google Doc version/edit history, a group discussion and agreement as to division of work, or another member admitting to the use of AI for their contribution after the submission was made. You must also attest to the fact that you yourself did not use AI and that the project was submitted without knowledge that another member used AI to contribute to the assignment prior to the deadline.
