In Writable, co-teachers in a class can grade student work, see student growth over time, assign to classes, and access all assignments given to the class they co-teach. If your course is imported from HMH Ed, there are two options for adding co-teachers in Writable:
The co-teacher is rostered in the source class on HMH Ed. This roster change will sync in Writable, and your co-teacher will be provided access to the course. This is the recommended option for adding co-teachers in Writable.
Co-teacher can be manually added to each individual assignment course in Writable. This will allow co-teachers to monitor progress, grade and send feedback, but not assign to your course. Co-teachers can not be added to your course on the classes page.
❗️Note: Adding co-teachers to an Ed rostered course from the 'Classes' tab is not supported in Writable and will not guarantee access to that course's assignments.
How do I add a co-teacher to an assignment?
If adding co-teachers using these directions, the co-teachers must be added to each individual assignment and assignment group. Adding co-teachers using these directions will not allow co-teachers to assign to your course.
1. Navigate to the My Assignments, and click the assignment you want the co-teacher to access.
2. Click the icon to 'Edit Co-Teachers.'
3. Enter the email address of your co-teacher and click 'Done.' Your co-teacher must have an existing account in Writable.
4. Co-teachers will be able to access co-taught assignments at the bottom of the assignment list in 'My Assignments.'
