What domains must be allowed to access Writable?
What domains must be allowed to access Writable?

To use Writable the following URLs will need to be allowed (whitelisted) through your school or district filters.

Updated over a week ago

Many schools and districts use filters to keep students from accessing some websites. If your students are having trouble accessing Writable, your school may have web filters in place, and certain URLs that Writable requires to function are being blocked.

Please ask your IT department to clear the following domains through network filters and proxies:

  • writable.com

  • app.writable.com

  • static.writable.com

  • chat.writable.com

  • chat-ws.writable.com

  • chat-static.writable.com

  • cf-pdfs.writable.com

  • cf-images.writable.com

  • cf-shared.writable.com

  • fs.writable.com

  • fonts.googleapis.com

  • fonts.gstatic.com

  • writable-images.s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com

  • writable-pdfs.s3.us-west-2.amazonaws.com

  • accounts.google.com

  • apis.google.com

  • ajax.aspnetcdn.com

  • cdnjs.cloudflare.com

  • checkout.stripe.com

  • rtg.prowritingaid.com

  • firehose.us-west-2.amazon.com

The following URLs are optional but will help you access different tools within the app:

  • api-iam.intercom.io

  • intercom.help

  • goo.gl

  • classroom.google.com

  • bam.nr-data.net

  • js-agent.newrelic.com

  • writable.turnitin.com

  • static.turnitin.com

  • cdn.turnitin.com

❗ Note: Some assignments include YouTube videos. Permitting YouTube is required in order for students to view the YouTube videos in these assignments.

If your school or district IT person has questions about why any of these are required or would like more information about how they're used, please have them email us at support@writable.com.
