If your school or district has purchased an HMH curriculum such as Into Literature, Into Reading, or Writable on its own, you will start your experience in Ed, your friend in learning.

1. Log into Ed and go to the 'Discover' tab.

2. Be sure to select the grade level for the program you'd like to import into Writable. For example, in the screen shot below, we are looking at Grade 11 of Into Literature.

Note: You may notice your Ed page looks different than the one above. If your school or district purchased Writable on its own through HMH, you'll see this on the Discover tab. You may need to use the drop-down option under "Select a program" to locate Writable.

3. Click the 'Open' button next to the 'Writable' box.
Note: If you are seeing a "Unit (Module) Writing Tasks" button instead, watch this video or talk to your administrator to make sure you have access to the Premium version of Writable.

4. Once you successfully launch Writable from Ed, you will see the grade level for the program show up in 'Explore', as shown below.

Note: If you are missing a grade level that you expect to see, be sure to launch from Ed again, choosing the correct grade level.

You will also see your Ed rosters in 'Classes' inside Writable.

Note: If you are missing a course you expect to see, check to see if it's in Ed and re-launch from Ed into Writable.

Finally, if you want your rosters or grades to sync with Google Classroom, Schoology or Canvas, please review our Getting Started with Ed + LMS information.
