Sometimes there are meetings that don't need to be recorded. In that case, you can manually toggle off the notetaker. Then it will not join and your monthly meeting quota won't be used for that meeting.

Step 1: Go to Upcoming calls

Step 2: Toggle off the meetings that you would not like Wudpecker to join

Important note

Wudpecker sends the notetaker about 10 minutes before the meeting start time to ensure that the process is smooth. So if you only use this toggle feature right before the call, it won't prevent the notetaker from joining the waiting lobby.

In this case, you can ask the host to remove the notetaker from the meeting, as you would with any meeting participant.

About the meeting quota

The monthly meeting quota will only be used when Wudpecker has generated actual notes for a meeting. So, for example in these cases, the quota will not fill up:

  • if the notetaker gets in the lobby but won't be admitted in the meeting

  • if the notetaker is accidentally admitted but immediately kicked out

  • if the notetaker is in for less than a couple of minutes or the meeting is not longer than that (because Wudpecker won't have enough content to make notes from)
