Wudpecker thought you spoke another language in your meeting, and now the notes don't make any sense?
Here's what you can do to change...
1) Summary language
Wudpecker produces the best notes and summaries in English. That's why it's always the default language for summaries. We are constantly testing the quality of the notes in local languages before releasing them for general availability.
If you do want your notes in another language, either manually Ask Wudpecker to create a new summary in your preferred language and paste it to replace your old summary, or automate the process by heading over to your collection settings and giving the instruction as an Additional prompt.
If there are multiple languages spoken in the same meeting, Wudpecker takes a bit longer to generate notes compared to a meeting where only one language is spoken. However, it shouldn't take more than 10 minutes.
2) Transcript language
The transcript language can vary depending on your settings.
Wudpecker tries to identify the single most spoken language in a meeting, and uses that to transcribe everything that was said. So, if multiple languages were spoken, some lines might look like gibberish. But even if you can't make sense of the transcript, Wudpecker might still be able to figure out what was said and communicate that well in the summary.
If the language that was spoken in the meeting is chosen in your "Languages used" setting, Wudpecker will be better able to detect it for transcription.
You can also change the transcript language later within the call. Read below for more.
3) Language settings
Settings -> Languages used
If you know which languages are most likely to be spoken in all your meetings, you can select them in your settings. This will help Wudpecker have more accurate transcripts and summaries.
Here's how:
Step 1: Go to Settings.
Step 2: Under Languages used, you can delete existing languages or add new ones. To do the latter, scroll down the list or start typing the language in the search bar. Then click on the language.
You can choose up to 3 languages (but choosing only 1 is most accurate).
Open a call -> Menu -> Change language
You can also change the language of individual notes, if the transcript doesn't make any sense.
Go to the menu at the top right corner of your notes and press Change language. Then, scroll down the list or start typing the language in the search bar and choose the new language.
This will automatically change the transcript and summary to be more accurate (summary will still be in English by default).
