Responsibilities

  • Advertise open vacancies on the student notice boards around campus and on the student portals.

  • Invite students for career sessions to ascertain students’ skills abilities and desires for their first roles.

  • Effectively match students and graduates with open roles and put them forward for interviews.

  • Ensure that all graduates and students are aware of new opportunities available.

  • Actively gain referrals from students and graduates for their classmates and others they know who are looking for work in the same industry.

  • Spend time running job fairs on campus and actively going out and talking to the student population.

  • Mentoring and counseling students and graduates about the next steps and getting into the working public.

  • Work with college professors and other educational professionals to identify potential new recruits with excellent skills and knowledge that would satisfy the role.

  • Ensure all onboarding and new starter paperwork is done.

  • Keep students up to date on the progress of their application.

  • Put new hires through for background checks.

  • Input potential candidate's information into the database and ensure it is kept up to date.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Human Resources, Business, or other related field, or equivalent work experience and education

  • Demonstrated experience working with a student or graduate population to recruit them for open roles

  • Experience using recruitment databases and or ATS systems

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

  • Good organizational abilities and able to manage various projects simultaneously

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to connect and identify with young people in the student and graduate area

  • Ability to mentor and advise people on what career paths are best for them

  • Excellent influencing abilities

  • Proficient with all Microsoft packages including, Excel, Word, and Outlook

  • Confident talking to large groups of people and running conferences and workshops as required
