Daycare Teacher Responsibilities
Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities to stimulate and engage children in their physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development.
Create a safe and inclusive environment for children, ensuring their comfort, security, and well-being throughout the day.
Monitor children's behavior and intervene when necessary to maintain a safe and positive learning environment.
Provide guidance and support to children in developing their social skills, such as sharing, taking turns, and resolving conflicts peacefully.
Assist with mealtimes, ensuring that children are practicing good hygiene and healthy eating habits.
Foster a positive relationship with parents and guardians by maintaining open communication and providing updates on their child's progress and behavior.
Observe and assess children's development, documenting their growth and milestones, and communicating any concerns or areas of improvement to parents, caregivers, or supervisors.
Maintain a clean and organized classroom, ensuring that materials and resources are readily available for educational activities.
Collaborate with other daycare staff and participate in team meetings to discuss curriculum planning, behavior management strategies, and individual child needs.
Adhere to daycare policies and procedures, including safety protocols, emergency procedures, and child protection guidelines.

Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or education in early childhood education or related field is preferred.
Previous experience working in a daycare or preschool setting is highly desirable.
First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe.
Clear background check, including criminal record and child abuse clearance.
Understanding of and compliance with state licensing requirements for daycare centers.
Basic computer skills for documentation and communication purposes.
