Responsibilities
Provide academic guidance and support to students, helping them navigate their academic program, and develop an academic plan that is tailored to their individual needs.
Assist students in selecting courses, choosing a major, and creating a graduation plan.
Monitor student progress and identify areas of concern, such as poor academic performance, and provide guidance to help students overcome these challenges.
Advise students on academic policies, procedures, and requirements.
Collaborate with other academic advisors and faculty to provide students with the most comprehensive and accurate information possible.
Maintain accurate records of student interactions and academic progress.
Participate in campus events and activities to support student engagement and success.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, or related field
At least two years of experience in academic advising or related field
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with students, faculty, and staff
Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students and colleagues
Knowledge of academic policies, procedures, and requirements
Familiarity with student information systems and computer applications
The ideal candidate should have the ability to handle sensitive information with tact and discretion and maintain confidentiality
The candidate should be able to work independently as well as collaborate effectively as part of a team
