Responsibilities
Work under the supervision of a licensed teacher to provide support to students with special needs in a variety of settings.
Provide individualized attention and assistance to students with special needs in areas such as academics, behavior, and social skills.
Assist with the implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
Provide support to students during classroom activities and instructional periods.
Assist with the preparation and modification of instructional materials and activities to meet the needs of individual students.
Monitor and record student progress, behavior, and performance data.
Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment for students with special needs.
Attend meetings and training sessions as required.

Requirements
A high school diploma or an equivalent is required; however, having an associate's or bachelor's degree in education, special education, or a related field is preferred
Prior experience working with students with special needs preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other school staff
Willingness to learn and implement new strategies and approaches to support students with special needs
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries
