Responsibilities
Teach children various subjects in line with the curriculum set out by the school district.
Monitor students' progress and identify where students need support in their learning.
Apply various learning style teaching techniques to include all children.
Provide regular reports for students' parents to keep them up to date with their child's progression.
Assist with the development of children's social skills by encouraging social interaction and playtime.
Monitor children during playtime, ensuring issues or arguments are dealt with and resolved.
Teach children how to resolve their issues between them and help them to learn to share and accept others’ differences.
Hold parent-teacher meetings on either a semi-annual or annual basis and break down children's performance and areas to be improved on for each child.
Attend teacher training as required.
Safeguard children and inform authorities if a child is suffering neglect or abuse.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or above in either general education, science, math, or English
Minimum of 3 years of previous experience in a similar role
Strong knowledge of safeguarding guidelines
Ability to communicate with parents, children, and other teachers
Strong knowledge of the school district curriculum
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships
Good listening skills, with high levels of attention to detail
Ability to multi-task and prioritize own workload
