Order picker responsibilities

  • Safely operate equipment such as pallet jacks, stand-up forklifts and order pickers, sorting, scanning, and otherwise preparing shipments for delivery.

  • Accurately select products from designated areas based on order tickets and ensure batches of orders are processed efficiently.

  • Verify all items selected for orders match the corresponding paperwork, packing items into boxes or shipping containers as needed

  • Maintain an organized, clean and safe warehouse, upholding all compliance and safety regulations.

  • Work collaboratively with team members during peak times and to ensure delivery deadlines are met.

  • Diligently follow company policies and procedures to ensure customer satisfaction and accuracy of order processing.

    Requirements

    • High school diploma or GED equivalent

    • 2 years minimum experience in a warehouse environment

    • Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment safely

    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

    • Good communication skills both written and oral

    • Knowledge of inventory software, database management, and order processing

    • Ability to work flexible hours with weekends and overtime

    • Ability to work well with others in a team-based environment

    • Capability to lift and move heavy objects up to 50 pounds occasionally
