Responsibilities
Manages department staff, drivers, maintenance mechanics, and service personnel.
Collaborates with the HR department to obtain required staffing levels.
Train all new hires.
Plan routes to effectively ensure on-time delivery for goods/services/vehicles.
Ensure maintenance is carried out on the fleet as and when required.
Liaise with external vendors to arrange contracts for fleet repair.
Ensure that drivers are working the correct hours and monitor their driving time in line with the local laws.
Ensure that vehicle repairs are completed on time, and that all vehicles are roadworthy at all times.
Ensure that drivers are made aware of accidents, road closures, and traffic jams and have the opportunity to take alternative routes.
Oversee the delivery and collection of items to be transported.
Complete effective rotas for the staff, ensuring adequate cover at all times.
Provide timely reports on financials, performance, and productivity where required.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or above in procurement and supply chain, operations, logistics management, or related field
Minimum 2 years of experience in the logistics or fleet management industry
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Confident with all computer programs including, Excel, Word, and Outlook
Experience with providing reports and providing detailed presentations
Excellent leadership abilities
Confident to delegate workloads
Sound knowledge of the logistics industry and its functions
Demonstrated experience in a managerial role
Demonstrated knowledge of various computer systems relating to logistics planning and tracking
