Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other department managers on projects and assignments.

  • Develop efficient plans for the maintenance department in accordance with guidelines and regulations.

  • Oversee the execution of daily and regular tasks for buildings and machinery in accordance with company standards and guidelines.

  • Improve operational management arrangements.

  • Supervise and evaluate work of operations supervisor and other subordinate personnel.

  • Develop a process to screen, hire, train and/or terminate staff in accordance with company standards and regulations.

  • Develop a process for appraisals and performance reviews of department staff.

  • Create an effective schedule for maintenance staff.

  • Attend regular meetings with department heads to ensure goals and standards are being met.

    Requirement

    • Bachelor’s degree or above in Business Management or other related field or equivalent experience and education

    • Supplemented university courses in management, administration

    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in management or supervisory roles would be essential

    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance, repair, and/or construction role would be essential

    • Excellent organizational skills; being able to work under pressure

    • Substantial experience with development plans and implementation of procedures

    • Excellent interpersonal skills and able to communicate with persons at all levels

    • Excellent leadership capabilities with a talent for delegating tasks to the best-suited staff member
