Public Relations Assistant responsibilities
Assist in the creation and distribution of press releases, media kits, and other PR materials.
Maintain and update media contact databases, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
Monitor and track media coverage and compile reports on media outcomes.
Assist in organizing and coordinating press conferences, events, and product launches.
Collaborate with internal teams to gather information and assist in the development of key messages and communication materials.
Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and media outlets to identify opportunities for media coverage.
Assist in the management of social media accounts and online presence, including content creation and scheduling.
Support the PR team in building and maintaining relationships with journalists, bloggers, and influencers.
Monitor and respond to inquiries and requests from the media and other stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
Handle administrative tasks, such as scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and maintaining PR materials inventory.

Required qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
Previous experience or internships in a PR or communications role is preferred.

Knowledge of AP Style and writing for various platforms.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of industry trends and emerging PR practices.
Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends, as required for events or press conferences.
Familiarity with graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
