Learn how backups work, and what you can do if you need to restore.

Your entire Xano instance is backed up daily, and the last three backups are kept in a rolling cycle. This means that once the oldest backup is more than three days old, it is deleted to make room for the newest.

If you need to restore a backup...

Please understand that this is a whole-instance backup. We can not selectively restore deleted content such as database records, tables, API endpoints, groups, tasks, etc... When a backup is restored, your entire instance, all workspaces, and all data inside them will be restored to the time the backup was stored.

If you would still like to proceed with a backup restore, please reach out to us via support chat and we will be happy to facilitate this for you.

Are there any self-serve options for restoring data?

Xano offers features such as schema versioning, API branches and data sources to help you manage live and test data, and roll back if a mistake is made. Please refer to the linked documentation for more information on these features.
