Should you build for your client on an Agency plan or on a client's own plan?

Are you an agency deciding on a plan for your client? What's the difference between building on an Agency plan vs a client's own plan?

If you're developing for a client, you may be wondering whether you should build for your client on an Agency plan or your client's own plan.

It all comes down to your client's unique preferences.

On an agency plan your workspaces will share dedicated server instances.

Your customers may prefer to have their workspace on a dedicated instance of their own which may be in a specific region that conflicts with the needs of your other customers.

Further, the customer may also prefer ownership of the account that owns the workspace.

Here's a video on how the customer plans differ - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CjZJwgMoHBA&t=214s

The agency plans compare to the individual/business pricing as follows:

  • Agency Lite = Launch

  • Agency Pro = Scale1x

If you are on an Agency Pro plan and feel the need for increased CPU capacity, we recommend deploying to a client instance if you need a higher-tier plan.
