You can access your account documents such as monthly account statements, trade confirmations, and tax (1099 and W8-BEN) statements, directly within the app: Account tab > Documents
Trade confirmations: Lists trade activities (i.e. securities transaction) recently completed.
Account statements: List of holdings and activities during the monthly statement period.
Tax documents: This lists 1099 or W8-BEN documents.
1099 is a consolidated tax document containing forms 1099-B, 1099-DIV, 1099-INT, and 1099-MISC. A 1099 form shows our tax information, the amount of money you received throughout the year from selling securities, and the amount of realized losses that violate the IRS wash sale rule.
W8-BEN is available for non-US persons and is used to certify that you are not a US citizen or resident alien. Non-US citizens/residents are exempt from US tax on capital gains and interests but are subject to the US withholding tax on dividends based on their country of origin.
