CSRDS supports several communication processes that handled under “Program Control”. Unfortunately, these processes are also used by hackers to create malicious software. As a result most security applications monitor and block access by events issued under Program Control. As an added precaution, most stations have internal security limiting or blocking access to various systems.

If CSRDS is not receiving information or cannot post to one or more devices or services the security settings is a good place to check. This can be on the PC running CSRDS, the device CSRDS is trying to communicate with or as a result of a network or group policy blocking ports. For example, some networks block all but selected ports for IP communications and in some cases may even block access from all devices except from a specific MAC address. This may not be apparent and will need the Network Administrator to open the necessary ports.
