When repeating a broadcast from previously recorded show, the RDS metadata is not available from the recorded program. To add the metadata to the broadcast we can schedule the metadata for the encore presentation using the Center Stage Radio Automation Simulator (CSRAS) . This is done by:

Step 1. Select the RAS Tab

Step 2. Using the dropdown list and calendar select the station and date of the original broadcast. Then enter the start and end time of the portion of the broadcast to be repeated. If the program has already been aired, the metadata will be shown in the metadata list.

Step 3. Using the dropdown list and calendar select the station and date of the rebroadcast and enter the start time for the rebroadcast. If desired, you may chose to include any triggered events or sponsors.

Update and we are ready for the Re-Broadcast.

Recurring Repeat Broadcast

If the repeat broadcast is a weekly event select the Recurring Option and be sure the Original Broadcast date is the day of the week for the original broadcast and the Repeat date is the day of the week for the rebroadcast. When selected, the metadata will be resent for every selected day from the date of the original broadcast until the date of the repeat broadcast. For Example if the Original Broadcast date is Tuesday May 24, 2011 and the repeat broadcast is Wednesday May 25, 2020 every Wednesday the metadata from the previous Tuesday will be used during the selected rebroadcast time period.

CSRDS

When the scheduled time for the encore presentation CSRDS will automatically start the CSRAS module and capture the now playing information from the original broadcast rather than the live automation system.
