Collaboration Roles in xTiles

xTiles uses role-based access control to manage what each user can see or do within a project. Roles are defined at the project level, meaning each project can have its own set of permissions.

Full Access

A user with full access has complete control over the project. They can create and delete projects, invite new members, modify their access rights, and view access request notifications. They receive all project notifications, including comments, and can create both public and private pages. Users with full access can also change the project’s location within workspaces and manage participant permissions.

Can edit

Editors are registered co-authors who can work with all project content. They can edit text, create and organize pages and subpages, and add or adjust content blocks. Editors can view changes made by others, hide or reveal pages, and receive mention notifications. They can also modify access rights for other participants, except for the project owner.

Can Comment

Commenters are registered users who can interact with project content by leaving comments or reactions on blocks. However, they cannot edit or modify the project itself and do not have access to hidden pages.

Can View

Viewers are registered users who can open and read the project content but cannot make any changes or leave comments. Their access is strictly read-only.

Guests

Guests are external users who may or may not be registered in xTiles. They can access public projects shared with them via a link but cannot edit, comment, or view hidden or private pages.
