What is a Recurrent Task

Updated over 2 months ago

A recurrent task is a task that comes back automatically according to the schedule you choose. When you complete it, the task moves to the next date in the sequence — for example, tomorrow for daily tasks, next week for weekly tasks, or next month for monthly tasks.

You will only see one occurrence at a time, and future instances don’t appear until you complete the current one. This makes it easy to focus on the next task without being overwhelmed by multiple future entries.

This is especially handy in My Planner, because once you complete a task, it automatically appears on the next day in eXtra tiles, keeping your workflow up to date without any extra effort.

Common ways to use recurrent tasks:

  • Daily habits (like drinking water or exercising)

  • Weekly chores or meetings

  • Monthly reports or bills

  • Yearly events (like birthdays or taxes)

How to set a recurrent task

  1. Create a task in a tile.

  2. Click the Calendar icon to open Task settings.

  3. At the bottom, click 🔄 No Repeat .

  4. Choose a recurrence option:

    • Daily: Task moves one day after completion.

    • Weekly: Task moves one week after completion.

    • Monthly: Task moves one month after completion.

    • Yearly: Task moves one year after completion.

Note: Setting a recurrent task is a PLUS feature and requires a Plus plan.
