In this video, learn how to use the Impeller Trimming feature to adjust the impeller diameter for specific product configurations.

Discover how to:

  • Access the Impeller Trimming option from the configuration details.

  • Use Automatic Trimming to let the system select the closest impeller trim for your design point.

  • Perform Manual Trimming by entering a custom impeller diameter.

  • Reset the impeller trim to its original configuration.

To access the impeller trimming option, you must select your product configuration from View Results and then select View Details.

The curve for the configuration displays with your design point.

Note: The system has picked the closest standard impeller trim above the design point.

To use the impeller trimming option, select the Curve icon on the left pane to bring up the Curve Analysis.

Scroll down to the Impeller trimming option.

Move the toggle to the right.

Note: The product must have a design point to enable the automatic impeller trimming option.

You now have the fields for Automatic trimming and the Impeller Diameter for manual trimming.

Automatic Impeller Trimming

Move the Automatic toggle to the right.

Note: The automatic option is only available when there is a design point.

Select Apply.

Note: The details, model name, & price changes as the system processes. Once completed, the selected impeller trim has changed to intersect the design point as closely as possible.

Reverse automatic impeller trimming

To reverse the automatic impeller trimming, select Reset. The curve goes back to its original configuration.

Manual Impeller Trimming

To use the manual impeller trimming, enter a value in the impeller diameter field (example 4.5).

Important: Delete any design points in your initial product configuration.

Select Apply.

To reverse the change, select Reset.
