Your Panel Member Import data was not uploaded to Yabble. Now what?

Panel Member Imports fail due to a number of reasons:

1. File type and setup.
Please make sure that the file you have uploaded is not password protected.

A template should always be downloaded from your panel.

Once you have imported the necessary data you need to save it as a CSV file (not xls).

2. Compulsory fields.
Please make sure that the CSV file uploaded includes all of the compulsory fields. Compulsory fields include:

  • First name

  • Last name

  • Email

  • Phone Number

  • Gender

Please note that should any of the compulsory fields be missing from your CSV file, the upload will fail.

3. Fixed fields.
The CSV file you upload must include 'fixed fields' which are: ethnicity, household, location and region.

Each fixed field has a set of variables. These variables are the only options available for use under the fixed fields.

Ethnicity variables are:

  • Chinese

  • Indian

  • Japanese

  • Korean

  • Malaysian

  • Maori

  • NZ European

  • Other

  • Other Asian

  • Other European

  • Pacific Islander

  • Vietnamese

Household variables are:

  • Older couple / Single

  • Younger couple / Single

  • Older family

  • Younger family

  • Location must be a google map address field.

Region variables are:

  • Northland

  • Auckland

  • Waikato

  • Bay of Plenty

  • Gisborne

  • Hawke's Bay

  • Manawatu-Whanganui

  • Taranaki

  • Wellington

  • Tasman

  • Nelson

  • Marlborough

  • Christchurch

  • Canterbury

  • West Coast

  • Otago

  • Southland

4. Custom fields.
If your panel has a custom field this must transfer to your CSV file.

The label automatically generated for your downloaded template should not be removed or changed and the variables (options) should match those set up by you in the panel.
