What is pilot/soft launch? How do I do this with different audience types?
Pilot or soft launch means to launch a survey to a limited audience prior to the entire selected sample. This is used to gather data to ensure the survey script and questionnaire are functioning without issues such as logic errors or high dropout on certain responses, which may affect the validity of the results. Once you’ve checked the gathered data, you can launch your full survey.

To do this with different audience types, create a sample card with a limited number of audiences that’s separate to the sample cards for the full launch.

Preview your survey/create a link for your survey
Prior to launch, you can test your survey by previewing the entire thing or each question individually. Previewing the entire survey will give you a good sense of the overall length and allow you to check if any of the randomization or disqualification logics are functioning incorrectly.

To preview individual questions, navigate to the survey builder, expand the question you want to preview, and select “Preview” at the bottom of the question.

To preview the entire survey, navigate to the survey builder and select “Preview” in the survey tools.

You can also create a link for your survey to be viewed as a private test via email or shared as a web/public link for embedding via email, social media, or on your website. To create a test link for email, go to the sample tab, navigate to the sample audience card in draft status, select “Send test,” and enter the email you want to send the link to. To create a web/public link, navigate to “Share a link” on the sample tab and enter the detail and specifics to create one.

Add a logo to your survey

To brand your survey, you may choose to attach a logo with the sample CSV you’ve imported. To add a logo, go to the sample tab, navigate to the sample audience card you’ve imported as a CSV, select “Edit,” and upload the image.

Please note that the logo also shows up on the final page, so a transparent background is recommended. Ideal image dimensions are 200 (l) x 50 (h) px.

Customize accent colors
This allows your survey logo to be matched with appropriate pairing colors on things like survey buttons and highlights. This will also be applied to the sample card in the platform to help you identify your sample if you’ve created multiple.

To customize the accent color, go to the sample tab, navigate to the sample audience card you’ve imported as a CSV, select “Edit,” and change the brand color. You can choose a color from the palette or enter the hex code of the brand color. We recommend choosing a color with good visibility/contrast on white.
