1. Analyze your data with Yabble’s analysis tools
Utilize Yabble Count to analyze your unstructured text data and provide a data source for your Stories.
2. Create Stories that communicate insights
Access ‘Stories’
Access ‘Stories’ from the navigation on the right-hand side of your Yabble home screen. Select ‘Create story’ to create a new dashboard, or access an existing one from the options presented to you.
Start creating widgets
Add widgets to your story by selecting from the options in the side panel: ‘Chart’, ‘Text’, or ‘NPS’.
What are ‘Charts’?
‘Charts’ are visual representations of your data. You can select from the side menu which project you would like to pull data from, and then choose which data to drill down into for your Chart. This could be your Counted text data (ie. Survey responses), or it could be from your Custom Variables, including demographic information.
Creating a ‘Chart’
Once you have chosen your project, you can choose to present Counted Text data or Custom variables. When choosing Counted Text data, you have some initial options to choose from to build the graph you want, including:
General settings
These will be the first settings you are pointed to in the platform, but you can use the right-hand side navigation to access more settings for your chart.
Chart data by Total, Trend, or Cross by – note: for Trend to be a valid option, your Counted data must be trended data
Labels for your x-axis and y-axis
Vertical range (this populates by default, but you can customize it if you choose to)
Toggle on and off ‘Show axis labels’ and ‘Show data labels’
Legends – choose whether to show the legend and where to align it in your Chart
Data
Choose whether to pull through Themes or Subthemes, and if you want to drill down into a specific selection of themes, or just the Top Themes/Subthemes.
Chart Type
Choose between common chart types like ‘Bar vertical’, ‘Stacked horizontal’, ‘Pie’, and more to most accurately represent the insights you want to present.
Filters
Use filters to include and exclude data from your chart based on variables in your dataset.
Styles
You can also toggle styles of your Charts to change the look and feel of them.
Toggle your settings until you have your Chart how you would like to look, and click ‘Apply’.
Designing your ‘Pages’
You can change widget sizes to fit multiple on a page, or you can choose to present one per page. It’s really up to you how you would like your insights to be presented!
If you want to remove a Chart from your page, you can do so by clicking the three dots in the top right-hand corner of a chart and selecting ‘Delete’ from the drop-down menu.
You can also use this menu to Duplicate a chart, or to download a particular Chart as a PNG, PDF or SVG for sharing with your key stakeholders.
Finalizing your Stories
Once you are happy with your Stories dashboard, you can click ‘Done editing’ in the top right hand corner.
Click ‘Present’ to present your Stories in a slide deck fashion to stakeholders.
